SAFETY INFO: READ THIS FIRST!
Nearly all of the procedures listed below involve opening your device and modifying or replacing parts. Please follow these safety instructions while performing any of these tasks!
1. Plan your repair and try to avoid potential dangeorus situations.
2. Always work alongside someone else. If you feel unsafe, ask for help or contact 911.
3. Always power off your device completely and unplug before repairing.
4. Don't wear flamable material and wear safety goggles.
5. Never eat food of drink while working and wash your hands thoroughly after working to avoid lead and mercury poisoning.
6. Never, ever, ever, poke and prong at batteries with screwdrivers or other devices. The device can heat up, catch fire and even explode.
7. When removing batteries, it is normal for it to deform slightly. You should try to keep deformation to a minimum though.
8. If you notice smoke or swelling, stop working and move away.
